Hi all
I thought that a few of you may be interested in this. Sorry Phil if this seems like advertising, please delete post if you wish.
We have opened a new composites shop here where I work, as part of supplying carbon components to our customers in a few of the assemblies that we manufacture.
We can make carbon components for any purpose either to a design or we can design it for you, we are limited on the size to to our autoclave, so bonnnets etc are out of the question. Our autoclave is 2m x 0.7m.
Please take the time to look at our website if you are interested,
www.f1systems.com, go to products and on the right hand side, click composites.
Or contact me at
simon.roberts@f1systems.com.
Many thanks

LOL, as pointing the finger at me!! The way I see it is... If someone comes on here to promote a business, they should consider the advertising rules. In your case Simon, I think it is fair to let you promote this and see what the response is like. I'd like to see all the requested items being discussed, and then we can talk about a larger manufacturing quantity, and benefits to F1 Systems and RS246.
Now all I need to think of are some bits that would fit a B5 which would fit the mould as it were....

Cheers Phil, as you say, if the interest is there, then maybe we can see about some support for RS246.
This is not a market for us as yet, but if there appears to be an interest for afetrmarket parts then it could be an avenue we will follow.

Hi Simon. seems there are a few interested in covers for the 1.8t tt/S3 engine covers on here and other sites. I know GTT offer some, but are quite expensive and only have their emblem on there. Just a thought.

Well at the moment i could see a possible market for RS4 engine covers (also the current plastic cover over the top of teh airbox), and carbon wing mirror covers.
I will get it costed out and let you all know.

Anything you can make to replace components inside the engine bay or front end of the car (and have a good weight saving over oem) will go down well I would have thought Simon.
