GMBH Disks source & prices

Post by Ruical » Sun Apr 03, 2005 10:09 pm

I know this question has probably been posted so many times, but need the latest info?

Rear brakes disks and pads require urgent replacement and I don't have the spare cash, at the mo. for the Movits

Tried Vagparts, but they cannot source, so would be grateful for any feedback!

Alternatively, would it be better to temporarily replace with standard parts and start saving again for the Movits, or are most people, who have the Movit fronts, GMBH rear, happy with the setup???

Thanks in Advance,

Andy

Running movit 380, 4 pot fronts and standard rears no probs, will replace the rear with gmbh discs when they are completely knackered (@£500 a set for the rears i'm gonna get me moneys worth)

Don't think there is a drastic difference between standard disks and quattro gmbh ones if you can source them from a more direct route.

QST will get you them in for you, but you could also try doing a search for 'wintermier' here on the forum. JR posted up his details some time back as a contact on the continent for the parts, if you contact him and he can still supply, perhaps you would be kind enough to pm me the price as I may be in for a set if the prices are keener than here in the UK.

Would advise just running either the standard pads from over the audi parts counter or a pagid blue in the rear with the gmbh disks (replace pads not discs )
Too much is bad.
Plenty is better.
