I would just be guessing....

But I did come up with the manufacturer's page
The Idea :
To reduce the unsprung weight load for a better driving contact between the car and the road surface. This allows for a better acceleration and improved fuel consumption. A further major advantage is that the life of the brakes is increased.

The temperature of the brakes is allowed to be dissipated out through the centre star of the wheel, making it impossible to overheat the brakes.

Surely you couldnt use them on the road? track use only id have thought!

They'd last 5 mins on the roads round my way, i could add them to my collection of bendy RS wheels in the garage!
