Fitted a FULL size(8.5 x18) spare wheel , and you guys are right its HARDLY noticeable !!. Was a bit nervous at the thought of CUTTING the plastic at the rear of the boot BUT i did it in the end and its not a bad job either!!
i found that with a few modifications the jack and all the other bits and pieces
will fit nicely in the plastic jack holder from a mark 3 vw polo, and i used the rubber strap from the polo to secure everything to the wheel..
i will try to post some pics if anyone is intrested...

well dog, if you weren't too busy making more babies then i could get a chance to see your baby chariot.
only jokes.
ummm, when you at dee why next? you still working over on the northern beaches?
plus where did you get the spare wheel from, how much am i looking to pay for this thing?
also how long does it take to cut it out and do all the things necessary to fit the spare wheel?
i gotta find time for this crap.

You might want to consider the RS4 Winter wheel + S4 spare tool insert. Its a very tidy OEM option.

I've just got myself a winter wheel that fits without any mods. Do you have a list of parts needed re the S4 spare tool stuff? Presume there's an insert and tool holder, anything else?
Thanks

My dealer sorted it for me, so i never saw the parts listing. Essentually its the RS4 Winter Wheel, Yoko Non Directional tyre, S4 spare wheel Inner Tool Kit Liner, and thats about it i think.
