Price for fitting?

Post by Ryan_s3 » Tue Jan 25, 2005 9:56 pm

Do you think that fitting new front discs, pads, calipers and a brake fluid change with dot 5.1 warrants a £300 bill?

I had brake fluid at last service, £48 plus VAT. Pad warning light came on today (see my thread, but not sure how to link it in), pad price fitted quote £124.12. Don't know about disks or calipers.

Is this Audi with standard parts for your £300? Sounds quite reasonable for calipers aswell ?!?!?!

This is a labour only charge except that they are supplying the brake fluid?

Bit harsh, but at £100/hour probably true.
Fluid change is £100 down here, so a couple of hours to fit the rest is probably right.

Cheers
