full milltek exhaust + oettinger chip - new remap?

Post by itaplikeabiatch » Fri Jan 21, 2005 2:28 pm

i have the oettinger chip and i am looking at getting the full sports milltek system.
do i need to get a remap of the chip?
some people have said i do if i want to get the full benefits of the exhaust while others say no, it should be good as the oettinger chip will adapt to the changes in air/fuel mixture (or whatever)

also what could the potential differences be if i didnt get a remap?

thanks
will

I running an oettinger chip and i fitted the dual miltek exhaust a good few months ago. The oettinger chip does adapt (so im told) and i noticed a lot of difference once fitted.

The engine seems to rev a bit more freely and it seems like there is more torque at the higher end of the rev range.

Ive always had oettinger chips in my cars and ive never had any trouble with any of them even when i add extra bit to improve performance.

If you looking for more info then i sugest you speak to danny at RSD. they are the sole importers for oettinger UK.

Ive used RSD for years and they are very helpful.
