Always sound stupid to me but hey.
I used this to good effect on single seaters etc in the past. As the S4 seems to suffer from high underbonnet temps my thought is any reduction in running temp has to be a good thing?
My only concern is this, will any of the electronics pick up a lower running temp as a fault ?
Sorry if I'me a tad ignorant but my knowledge is still firmly planted in the 45DHLA carb era !

I have recently had the fog lights and brackets removed from the S4 to aid the airflow to the intercoolers, this does seem to give a tangible difference with the power seeming to hold on more as you get higher up the rev range.

However my thoughts are that the ECU shouldn't note this as a fault

And i agree, removal of fog lights has made a noticeable difference

However having a remap with this stuff as a coolant replacement you will notice reduce cylinder head temperatures which means more spark advance may be used to improve engine torque - same principle as ceramic treatment of piston, crowns, skirts, linings etc [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

Anything that can keep more heat in the combustion chamber has to be a good thing [img]images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img]

Apart from reduced heat benefits, it is used in racing so you can reduce the size of your radiator - either from a weight or drag perspective [img]images/graemlins/wink.gif[/img]

I have a remap but that was carried out with std coolant.
I will check with AMD and see what they think.

Just had a chat with Scott at AMD, seems there is
no reason the ECU should pick up a fault.
I will give it a try over the weekend and let you know wehter it has any effect

Well water wetter went in on Friday night.

Running temp pre WW - 90 Deg

Running temp post WW - 90 Deg

That was a waste of time then !!! [img]images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

However it does seem to warm up a lot quicker than before so not all bad.
