Small lump in road = cruise control off

Twice in the last week, my cruise control has turned off when I have gone over small lumps in the road. It has never done this before.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Could this be linked to the fact that I have my APR software switchable on the cruise control? Although the APR has been fitted almost 12 months.

I also have a fault where the car goes into limp mode sometimes when cruise is on, and by turning it off, then straight back on fixes it. The EPC light comes on the dash. A friend is an ADT, going round there after work tomorrow, hoping the Vag-COM will pick something up. It didn't last time though.

When I picked up my S3 from the dealers bumps in the road switched off cruise but TBH I havent noticed it happen since (2 years)

The only other fault I has with cruise was that sometimes it wouldnt switch on, and Audi replaced the brake pedal switch or something (5 minute job) under warranty.

No other clues for you mate, hope you get it sorted

If the traction control/ASR kicks in, then cruise will be turned off. If the 'bump' is sufficient for a wheel to lose grip then, yes, the cruise will be disengaged.

I know that this would happen on my old A4 2.6 (non quattro), when hitting a puddle.
