SPS3 HELP PLEASE

Morning All,
Got my SPS3 through this morning....
Which was nice.
How do you work it then ?
Anyone got any instructions, tips, hints...
The RS4 was set at timing 5 and High boost 9 by keith at Dialynx - but want to have a fiddle with the timing when I stick in some millers.
Looking at it I wouls say that the Mode toggle is quite self explanatory. Range 1-9. The range toggle is only used in conjunction with Mode settings 3,4,5 for low boost, high boost, and timing ???
Do I set what I want and then plug it in to the port, ignition on or off ?
Regarding the boost and timing settings when range also is important do I set the mode and then the range I want and plug it in ?
What settings do people use for Optimax adn Millers on their RS4's ?
Finally, I will be going on Hols soon, car in secure parking, they might need to move the car. Is there a setting that will put the car in 'valet' mode - no more than 40mph etc etc etc.
Sorry for all the questions folks.....
Many Thanks,
Tom

I assume you bought the SPS 3 2nd hand otherwise you'd have got general instructions with it, I can send you a set out if you email me with your address.
Have a look at the following link, it might be of use:
http://p220.ezboard.com/frevotechnikfrm ... ID=1.topic
You want to set the mode and range first, then plug the switch into the port with the ignition on.
Low Boost 0, Timing 0 will give you valet mode, set it up and test it... rather amusing!
Are you sure it was high 9 it's set to? That's quite a hardcore setting for running 24/7, won't cause any problems as long as the fuels good and the weather remains coolish.

For info...Mines set at low boost, setting 9 - which seems nicer for everyday driving...smoother, with less of a sudden surge when the turbos kick in..
Oh, and the email button is at the bottom of any post a user makes....

Right then as soon as the wife got home, niped out to find a nice piece of road....
Loads of bloody cars everywhere...wankers.
Anyway, as advised by Dialynx it seems I was set on Timing 5, high boost 9.
First I up'd the timing to 7 ( I am running optimax and Millers at the moment )
If any thing the car seemed slower, went for quite a long drive - not sure how long the car takes to settle.
Anyway I am going down to the beach tomorrow, quite a long drive so settled with timing 5 and high boost 5. It is quite a hot day which is annoying as well.
On the journey home it seemed really sweet, nice a torquey but without the nuts boost of before.
However, I do have a problem.....
Keith @ Dialynx fitted adjustable 'Turbo smart' Diverters to the car. I don't know whether it is because I keep changing things, but I am struggling to get them set up properly - some times they are really nice (i.e. boost is straight back there after gear change and/or lift off) but sometimes they are rubbish (half a second or so of nothing before boost again) Like today.
When I had the REVO it took about two days of fiddling, when I got he K&N it changed again, when I got the SPS 3 it seems to have changed again. Now idon't mind a challenge but am getting very borred of burnt fingers and taking the engine cover off and fiddling. Keith says they are the best ( and lets face it, he knows his eggs !!), but what do you guys use ?
Hate to keep bringing up Max Power especially with my neons and all that - but has anyne tried actually BOV's ?
Do most people use Forge ?
Or should I just keep adjusting ?
Anyone ?
I will start another thread about this as I fel it is quite important and doing my head in a little......
Thanks,
Tom
Will report back on latest REVO settings after the 400 mile weekend trip.

In my (non expert but done lots of VAG logging with Sita) opinion the only reason the car would need to 'settle in', is basically if you were running with too aggressive settings and the car will pull back to a 'safer' level of timing and loading etc. Thing to note with REVO is that I run Optimax and Millers and my car (S3) could not run timing 7 without unnecessary timing corrections (Sitas S3 could though) - timng 6 seems to be the limit for my car. All this was gleamed via VAGCOM.
Of course I could dial in high boost 9 timing 8 and the car would run very un-smoothly (I know from experience), but after a while it would probs run okay (because it had pulled itself back in line) - but I dont think this is a good thing.
