Problems in the damp

Just had bonnet open to replace spark plus on my S3 with some nice Iridium Denso jobbies, and it started to rain (strange for this time of year

).
Fitted the plugs, went out, and its playing up. Does this happen to anyone else's car?

You don't say how it's playing up - is it misfiring?? Did you get the right grade of plug or a cooler one?

I cannot believe that even if some rainwater got into the cylinders it would cause any problems. As Nige suggests it is more likely that the plugs themselves are at fault...although I hear that the S3 suffers from coil-pack problems. Maybe some have taken this opportunity to fail?

Had Denso IK22 plugs, supposed to be cooler than normal I think. I had this problem before the plugs were replaced, thought this would fix it !
Had 4 coil packs replaced less than 5k ago!
Replaced MAF yesterday (£90 from Audi), seemed ok on way to work today, but not on the way back ! Car was dry aswell.
What else could it be?
Thought replacing diverter valve, plugs and MAF would fix it, clearly not. Now about £170 worse off, and no benefit what so ever.
A think the fact its worse when wet is a decoy, but it does make it worse.
Friend with VAG-COM showed no errors.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried putting the original plugs back in to see if the fault is there?

Good idea. Will see if I can find them, but think they may of been thrown away !
On way into work, it went into limp mode, EPC light came on the dash and all power was lost. Almost got squashed twice on dual carriageway. Stopped engine, started again, now ok !
Getting very annoyed.
Need more suggestions please.
