Hello all...
I'm an American with a 2001 Audi S4. I'm going to be sent to Cologne Germany for a period of 3 years for work and I'd like to bring the car with me. Any advice, links, or contacts for what will be involved with the importation process?
I have a few modifications on the car and am wondering if those will give me problems. The only mods they will be able to see are a Neuspeed G2 catback exhaust and Stasis Coilovers. I am thinking about upgrading to Porsche Brembo brakes too. Will these be a problem? Will I be able to run larger wheels (18") and still pass TüV?
Any advice would be appreciated.

You will have to get the car through a safety inspection, known as the TÜV (toof). Every modification must be approved by the TÜV. The supplier of the modified part has to have it tested and approved by the testing authority.
This applies to ALL modifications, they will discover your 'hidden' upgrades. Also radar detectors are illegal in Europe. Your tyres must be properly rated as well, again there must be a safety approval. You must declare ALL your modifications to the insurance company.
If you have an accident and your car differs in any respect from the paperwork, you will have the book thrown at you.
Why not buy an RS4 for your time in Europe, they are not expensive.
