I saw that too. If I'd read it before I bought my S3, I'd have considered more seriously buying an S4.

Very good article for anyone considering buying an old S4 and modifying, or going for the new one. Not too sure what they mean by old B5 S4s being "twitchy" though. I've yet to get mine to brake traction, even trying quite hard in the wet, and the gentle understeer if you push on can hardly be described as twitchy. Anyway, good article all round. I must get those sport cats fitted to my car and it remapped again.

i think he meant twitchy as in acceleration. Slightly harder to make a smooth drive, it either wants to go or not etc. Very interesting reading tho, I'm looking at getting an S4 Avant soon, I was going to go for a S3 but I just want a big fat car, with some big fat power. :D Plus i'll get all my mates and there brothers, cousins, uncles and everyone in it!

Can't get the car to spin the wheels, eh? Download the video clip.

Well, as the owner of a stage II+ B5 S4 I found the article very satisfying. It is what I had expected, but it's nice to see the proof. I also believe that at speeds below 100 mph, a stage II B5 S4 would still be a slightly better performer than a stage II B6 S4. Maybe we need a UK test...

I agree with the comment about twitchy, but that's what I like.
