wheels bolts

does anybody know if there are any differences between an A3 wheelbolt and a tt wheelbolt?

i have a 99 A3 qt,and have bought a set of rstt rims,will i have to buy new bolts?

The threads etc are the same. I'll will depend on the wheels. If these are OEM then they normally make them compatible so they can part share e.g. my B6 S4 share the same bolts with a 3.2 TT (possibly others).

If the wheels are after market then the supplier should be able to help.

I'd suggest seeing if someone with a copy of etka can look up the parts numbers and descriptions. They normally tell you the length.

Alternatively call your local dealer and ask them to check for you ?

Think all audis use the same whel bolts, went in to buy some new bolts for the standard RS4 18's (20 off). The mechanic who usually works on my car stopped me from buying new ones as he had a pile of them lurking in his tool box and gave them to me, said they were all the same size bolt for everything.

Hmm... I wonder how many cars have left the workshop without the full complement of bolts fitted? :shock:
