Porsche Brake Questions.. I have them finally fitted

Hi Guys

Today I finally had my Porsche 993TT brakes fitted, initial impressions is good and the stainless lines really improve the pedal feel. Still have alot more miles of running them in, but ive done numerous 80km to 10km stops and then let them cool for a bit before I reattempt it, you can feel them getting stronger with every stop!

My question, is to the owners of the kits for the S3. My car is RHD so the RHD the logo 'Porsche' on the caliper is going DOWNWARDS, that is it reads from Left to Right, Down... the Left Hand side is going Left to Right Upwards.

Is this fitment correct?

Just want to make sure..

One thing i really like, is the cool 'wiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz' the brakes make when your on them and come to a almost complete stop, its so addictive! Derek explains its the air going through the vents and through the cast holes!
So far, no vibrations, no shuddles, no sqeels or anything negative!

:D

Kris, as long as both brake bleed nipples are at the top of the caliper, then it doesn't matter..

Glad you 'Finally' got them fitted. just make sure you bed them in properly!

Enjoy.

Slightly off subject, but I've always wondered about the design of certain types of alloy wheels.

For example, the standard fit alloy to a Volvo T5 (we all know what they look like) is shaped like the blade on a fan or propellor, for some reason they dont take into account for a left and right-handed side of the car, so when they are bolted on, one side is cutting into the wind and the other is flowing with it. This surely must have effect on the both the aerodymanics and different cooling rates to the brakes happening on either side?? Of course, I could just be talking out of my No.2 torpedo tube??

Anyone care to enlighten me>?

havent a clue, but has crossed my mind . I noticed the same on the old XR3i "dog leg" alloys when they were more current.
