I am thinking about upgarding the rear brakes on my S4. One option that i thought about was fitting standard RS4 brakes.
Can anyone tell me if these are a direct replacement, and if they will fit within the 17" Avus wheels.
Has anyone here carried out this mod before?
Thanks

a friend of mine had them fitted on his S4.
They will definately fit under the Avus 17" and they are direct replacement. The brake caliper is the same on S4/RS4 but the caliper holder, discs and pads are different.
It is just a small upgrade, don´t expect any big results. But they definately look better than the mini 256mm S4 discs.
I wouldn´t buy those parts new because they are not cheap. I think there are a lot of guys with RS4 on this forum, which had their rear brakes replaced with Mov´it ones.
Good luck!

I'm not sure the RS4 & S4 callipers are the same.
You need discs, pads, callipers, 2 x RS4 handbrake cables (as they need to be longer) and 2 x RS4 disc backing plates.
Conversion is 4 hours labour (mostly running the longer handbrake cables)
All parts are available from www,.vagparts.com.
Best of luck,
David
