Hi,
Just wondering if anyone is using water injection on the forum?I found when i used it that it's great for controlling detonation and is a excellent safety device.
Been reading some past posts and noticed you have some bad opinions of the unichip.I ran a unichip on my car for 3 years with no problems whatsoever.I find the unichip far more superior than any pre mapped chips that are so popular with the audi/vag community. Also has the function to drive a extra fuel injector or driver for a fully mapped water injection system. Also can map boost with the aid of a boost module.Obviously it can map fuel and timing while on a rolling road to a individual car rather than guesswork maps based on a "standard" car which very few cars are.Revo seems like a good system if the tuner uses a rolling road to set the individual car up off a basic map altering timing and fueling. If no-one is doing this i will probably opt for motec as this has the capacity for further modification,eg bigger injectors ,turbo etc.Anyone running motec?regards Ryan

Hi Ryan,
No one on this forum (and any other UK one that I frequent) has gone down the motec route. Everyone takes REVO, APR or AMD.
Do a search on a user called 'Crafty' - he used to post on this forum as he was looking for a S3 but I think he bought a Leon Cupra in the end - as he was talking about a lot of the stuff you reference to - may find some useful conversations.
How long do you plan to keep the S3 for? How easy is a Motec equipped car to put back to standard?

Hi mate,
i plan to keep the car for 3 years or so.I have a friend at a very good tuners thats can do great deals on motec(still not cheap!!)Motec can be connected your existing loom via a harness, and can utilise your existing sensors for it's inputs. You would have to buy a map sensor but there fairly cheap.I would think it's fairly easy to put back to standard and take to your next car.Alot of people retain the standard ecu for cockpit functions and use the motec for engine control. Thanks for the tip,i'll give that name a search.regards Ryan
