Any recommendations for the above?

My S3 pulls off sometimes really quick, then when I stop accelerating, it shuts off the power really abrupt. Any idea's?

I'd try Audi, but not sure they would find the problem, or would they?

on second thoughts could be DV related.

for their cheap cost you could get one from Vagparts and try it. At very worst your have a working spare.

The Bosch ones are not very expensive at all.

I think Bass is selling an uprated one for £50, but not sure if its new?

I've about another 2 weeks of warranty left, is it worth the risk with the APR chip in place?

The other problem is it doesn't do it all the time. But if the increased pick up is how it should be, then I'll be buzzing of that !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What/who are 'VagParts'? Are they a cheap place for genuine Vag bits? If so, whats the number and location?

you can service the one bass is selling. Amd have the service kits.

3 o-rings, 6 bolts and a sachet of grease. Easy job.

It might be an idea if you fancy it.

If your worried about the dealer cannot you turn the APR one off?

most are switched thru the cruise control.

yes usually cheaper vag parts. If they cannot do it cheaper than VAG, they will tell you, and advise you go direct.

whats shown on their site is only a fraction of what they do. Last thing i bought was a Toreag torch for my cig lighter.

Chip is switchable on cruise, but was worried they might plug all sorts into it to try and find problem, then notice the normal boost limit has been exceeded ! Then may end up with huge bill !

I'll try AMD tomorrow.

switch it to standard, and it will be standard boost. If you have security lockout, do that too.

Dealer will see and test car as standard.

Cheers PaulS3.

Got a standard one from Audi (£19.40!) and had someone replace it yesterday. Seemed to be loads better straight away, but that may of been in my mind because I'd replaced something.

Filled up today with one bottle of millers and 50 litres of Optimax, then the problem returned. It may of been a coincidence, but I think it seems to do it after I have filled up.

I put the Millers in first, so was hoping that putting the petrol in next would mix it up. Is it possible that occassionally the engine is getting a slightly higher concentration than normal?
