Hi Guys,

Tried my VAG device on my car ... I cleared the faults in my car, and these came back so I guess there is a real problem there ... does anyone know if the fact that I now have a miltek exhaust and downpipes + KO4, injectors now on my car is the problem here? Since surly it is going to be hotter down there now ??

17866 is a confirmed fault, i.e. it is not intermittent. It could (I don't know for sure) be causing the other faults. Try seeing if you can find the block which has the sensor measurement and see what the reading is. The bottom line is you should first get that sensor checked out and then see what happens.

Don't worry about the radio fault unless you have a persistent problem. Based on my own experience and what I read about others' the comms bus on these cars is susceptible to the occasional glitch which will result in intermittent DTCs like that.

Ahh, good thinking , if I can see what it is reading that is the best way to determine if it is too high, or just over the the threshold ...

Cheers mate!

I think you should be talking to the people who tuned your car. When were the mods completed ?

Yeah, in the processing of sending them an email to see if they can shed any light on the matter ... completed at the beginning of Dec 03 ...

Hi rich,
I have been told that EGT temp sensors are known
to go on the S4 once a little older, also likley
IMO that the extra heat cars in our state of tune will
be producing could quicken this parts demise.
Looks to me like that is whree your problem may lie, ie
a dicky sensor.
