Replacement Porsche pads for 993TT calipers

Post by DuncS3 » Thu Jan 15, 2004 2:54 pm

My brake pads are due to be replaced soon, has anyone sourced the best price for replacement pads? I have the 993TT calipers (not monobloc) fitted to my S3 originally by AMD. I am looking for genuine Porsche pads.

I did a search and DavidT mentioned in a very old post that they could be sourced for £75?

design911 are cheaper but make sure they are 'Genuine' parts
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

Dave,

Are these the ones we need?

993 Twin Turbo Front Pads £66.00
plus
Brake Pad Wear Sensors £8.00each

I assume its the TT pads we need, not normal 993 pads?

Yep, 993 Twin turbo 'big red' fronts.

They will be branded Texstar (who make them for Porsche they tell me) at £ 66 + VAT & delivery.

I ring them to order anyway, just in case.

Have you fitted the low brake pad sensors to yours?

Also try emailing info@carnewal.com.

I know Gert is in Belgium, but the price is normally better than uk prices even with shipping (if he charges for it, which he doesn't always on small stuff).

I buy pretty much all my porker stuff from Gert.

Cheers,
John.

Good to know John.

Dunc, no I don't. I think for what they charge for the kit, AmD should be putting them on. I wore the last set down to the metal but the new pad cleaned the disc up nicely
