Shortshifters and Audi warranty?

Are Audi still likely to cover any gearbox related problems if a short shifter has been fitted?

I'm strongly considering getting a Tanoga, but am a bit concerned that I'll be waving goodbye to my warranty

Audi just rebuilt my gearbox with a new reverse cog under warranty. I have a Tanoga shortshifter and they never mentioned it... They also didn't seem to care about the H&R, the wheels, or the wheel spacers.
I think a lot of these things depend on your dealer.
