im looking at a 'superchipped' rs4 at the mo - the supplier claimed 30% extra brake on the rs4, and quoted 415bhp.
mmm someone can't do basic maths!

can't comment on the S4 tho :-s

Think he must have got 30% mixed up with 30bhp.

Never personally come across Superchips in an Audi so can't really comment guys.

I have SuperChips on the good old Passat V6 4Motion.
It's OK but you should check REVO prices first.

I've heard bad things about super chips from my mate who runs a boosted Fiat Coupe. Apparently they just turn up the boost pressure and let the ECU finding the timing via the knock sensors which may work fine until your knock sensor stops working.

All hear say tho.

I had mine superchipped about 20 mths ago it had about 3K miles at that time and was 4 mths old. It provided a nice increase in torque it possibly isn't the ultimate in chips but I've no experience of any others but I've had no problems so far just done about 15k miles now. I've only used her 2-3 times a week for the last year but she goes really quite well. Also only cost about £4-500 not £12-1500 for an MTM etc. this is the second car Superchips have done for me the first was a 2.7 A6 avant Auto which did have a few problems with the gear box software ie. it would kick down at part throttle on 5th gear after it was chipped, however they couldn't have been more helpfull and fixed itat their head quarters in Buckingham (they have 4wd rolling road). The rs4 was done by modem dealer in Shrewsbury took about 1.5hrs if I remember rightly. They also come with mechanical warranty for some time in case of blow-ups etc.

However I can understand the attraction of Revo in that you can try before you buy.

But dont rule out superchips just because they are cheaper in fact, when I was there about 3yrs ago with the A6 I tried their technical directors S3 which had been chipped via diagnostic port it was very impressive he adjusted the the output downwards for me to try it!!!

I don't know if mine was done via the port or with a chip change perhaps I should ask.

best of luck enjoy your car
