Can any help, Am in need of a clutch for my 1998 S4, car has done 76k now. is it better to fit a RS4 clutch to the car, was thinking of fitting a lighter flywheel why the engine is out as well.

the car is running 320/380.

I have not seen an MTM flywheel but I am sure that Kim at QST or Scott at AMD would have and they have both seen my flywheel as well. Maybe they would be the best people to explain the differences.
What I do know is that my flywheel accepts the standard RS4 clutch pressure plate and driven plate. I beleive the MTM one accepts a higher rated clutch set up.

You don't need to take the engine out for just the clutch ? It can get fecking expensive if you take it out, as you might want to consider replacing the downpipes as well as the flywheel, as this is apparantly a b*tch to do with the engine in situ. Of course, you need the cat-back exhaust if you do the dp's and possibly a re-map to go with it!! Oh, and whilst the engine's out, check the turbos and swap them for K04's

Good luck.

CAR HAS BEEN REMAPPED BY AMD ALREADY AND TUBE TORQUE HAVE MADE AND FITTED MOST OF THE EXHAUST AS WELL. ONLY NEED THE DOWNPIPES AND PRE-CATS OFF NOW.
IF THE TURBO'S NEED CHANGING WILL FIT T28 ROLLER BEARING TURBOS.

THANKS 4 THE INFO.

If you're just doing the clutch, you can get an RS4 clutch kit from Vag Parts for £274.
