Toyo tyre problems

Gents..need some advice.
Purchased a set of 4 X Toyo T1's on 1st June and after a running them in, started to enjoy the grip they offered . Unfortunately, as a result both the left hand side tyres (outside walls) have completely worn. Also it appears the tyres themselves (all 4) have melted as there are ridges on the tyres where the rubber has congealed due to the current hot weather we are enjoying (assumption).
How do i handle this. Are Kwik fit liable to replace the tyres as these are less than two weeks old or would Toyo need to inspect the tyres before they replace them and will they replace them?.
Bit surprised even after some spirited driving these tyres would fall apart the way they have.
Cheers...Jem

Jem, the Toyo's are very soft.
The only time I have had this problem was after a trackday and then they returned to normal after a few hundred miles of driving.
You must be having a *very* spirited drive
Perhaps a bit more air pressure would relieve it?
Oh and this forum is for problems regarding the site, not your car

I spoke to my mate Tim (The guy you were going to get the tyre from originally )
He recommends you contact a guy called Alan at Toyo UK. He is one of their top techies. There is an enquiry form on the site.
He suggests you mention the following points:
1. Smith's Tyres - Tim
2. RS246 and number of Toyo users
3. Where you bought this set from
4. How long you have had them on
5. Tyre pressure
He says it is very unlikely that the tyre is to blame, he suggested bad fitting and/or incorrect pressures.
HTH.

Very interesting.
I'm in the process of choosing which tyres to buy for my S3. My RE040's have covered 12,000 miles and I'm nearly at the wear indicators. :
I was going to purchase some TOYO's, but if they wear *that* quickly, I'm beginning to have second thoughts.

I've had my Toyos for a couple of months now and have no problems. I do expect them to wear much quicker than either the Pirelli P6000s the car was delivered with or the Michelin Pilot Sports I replaced them with. However the performance of the tyres is sooooo much better.
Remember you never get something for nothing, and this is certainly true of tyres.

Good price if you come over and get them fitted. Let me know the spec, or just give the guy a call and tell him I sent you 01909 721553
