Hi all,
Ive got an S3 with a Revo variable boost program which im very happy with but my question is regarding the original clutch fitted to my car.
I very worried about burning the clutch prematurly by doing hard take offs. I dont need and want the expense of a new clutch so soon.
Is there a technique any of u guys use that allows a good launch with out hurting the clutch? If so what is it?
How long are the clutches expected to last on these cars?
Are there any modified clutches available too like they do for the RS4's ?
Yes i know lots of questions but hey why not!!

The s3 clutch seems to be an emotive subject for some - mine has now done nearly 26k miles (22k remapped) and no probs so far but I've heard of others that have given up from 15k...

Personally if I'm in a hurry away from the lights, then I dump the clutch straight away without sitting on the pedal which rides/toasts it but this will put more strain on the drivetrain/haldex clutch..

Another tip is not to set off in second gear like i've witnessed other people do..

I believe MTM sell an uprated sports clutch (made by sachs I think) but it isn't cheap to fit.
