Hey guys, I thought this might interest you RS4 friends!

We are releasing this FMIC for the S4 and RS4. The surface area of the intercooler is around 90% larger than two RS4 ICs. It's like having 4 ICs on the front of your car! Plus, with the fan upgrade, the car will get plenty of cooling even when stopped in traffic.

Please take a look at the pictures here. Note, these are on an S4 but I will have pics under the RS4 bumper soon as it is currently being fitted to my RS4 upgraded S4!

JoshD,

Definately an interesting invention!! However, I have a few question of my own!

1. Will it fit under the OEM RS4 front bar?
2. What do you mean by "(w/ Support Exchange)?
3. Is the SPAL fan for the radiator??
4. I am in Hong Kong. Can I buy direct from you?? What is the shipping cost for the FMIC in ALU /TBB and Oil Cooler??
5. Most important of all!! Any special discount for RS246.com members??

Thanks.

I doubt you'll need any change to chips due to bigger or better IC, since Motronic has intake temperature sensor. For the engine it is the same as driving in cooler weather, it can adjust itself automatically.

Ok guys, I'll do my best to answer all the questions:
And who has or is planning to produce, chips to support the FMIC ?

No software upgrade will be needed. The pressure drop on the RS4 ICs is similiar so no upgrade is needed. It will work well on stock, chipped or upgraded RS4s.

So which is the best option and how much this side of the water?

The best option is to go all out and get the pipes all the way up to the RS4 TBB Y intake pipe (just before the throttle body).

Pricing will be decided later. I think if we get enought people interested we can ship them all together and get the costs down really low.

1. Yes it will fit under stock bumper/support. The metal support does need to be cut to fit the IC. *this leads to question 2*
2. The bumper support needs to be cut and modified. We thought it would be easier to simply do a core exchange then have people modify their own cores.
3.Yes, the SPAL fan replaces your stock radiator fan. It has 2000CFM rating and it really SUCKS! hehe
4. Yes, we ship to Hong Kong/Taiwan/etc.. all the time.
5. Yes, I'm sure we can work something out
