I have just had a remap on an RS4 B7 at 60k miles, plus a decoke.
It smells of petrol on cold start. Really stinks. It deffo coming from both rear exhausts, not an engine or pipe leaks. It seems to run okay, no misses and good solid idle, revs smooth.
Before the map it ran well without issue, certainly there were no petrol smells I could detect walking round car on start.
Warm it runs fine, drives absolutely brill. No petrol smell when warmed up.
It does have a quiet mode in the map, however, if you rev it up to 1.8k and hold it for 30seconds, it stinks just as bad, so not a cat preheat problem.
Is this to be expected and will it have any impact on the car in the long term, cats, bore wash etc?
