1/4 mile times

Post by chriswhite1992 » Mon Mar 20, 2017 9:57 am

Ive been looking on forums about this but most seem to be from across the pond. I went to santa pod yesterday for the first time in the rs4 b7, the best time i got was a 13.38. Interested to know what people can get from a stock carbon cleaned car and a stage 2 car with decat as thats what ill have soon.

It's a bit of an obsession on audizine (they have a national shortage of corners, so the poor sods just go in straight lines).

Pretty funny considering where the question arose! :) At the risk of answering your question and go off topic; never done mine but might give it s shot with my new GPS/VFIZ computer. Not sure how accurate it is but worth a try.

12.9 / 112mph at north weald in a stock B8 with 437bhp. Damp, windy and i bottled the launch like a proper dickhead

That's quite a big difference between the B7 and B7 there. Thinking about it, I don't recall ever seeing any drag races between the B7 and B8 before though. I always assumed there wasn't much in it and probably down to the driver of the B7 and their ability to launch and change gear rather than big differences in the cars themselves.

Id be up for that? Is you car s tronic though? Will always have an advantage in a drag race over a manual

Yes they all are. The B8 should win, more power, torque, flatter delivery, s tronic, newer etc. but it's a video I'd like to see.

Yeah im up for that! The turbos sure makes a difference in the pulling power even with the extra weight

What turbos?

I'd love to see a video of this and I'm surprised there aren't plenty of them already. Seems like an obvious comparison.

A well tuned B7 will roughly match a proper running stock B8 assuming the driver can shift quickly. Standard vs standard there is no keeping up with a B8.

I only have GPS runs but I've seen trap speeds of 112-112.5 mph (calculated like on a drag strip, actual terminal speed 114+) with my car which is a reasonable indication of performance which isn't influenced much by the launch itself.
B7 RS4 saloon Misano red, comfy seats, JHM tune & JHM full exhaust with cats and resonators - gone.
C5 RS6 Avant Daytona/Cognac - gone.
981 Cayman GTS Gray/Orange.

Nope CFSA engine which is just the audi/lambo v10 with 2 cyclinders chopped off, wet sump and a revised intake to fit it under the bonnet

There's only one, a B8 with a C7 RS6 engine swap. The rest are NA. There may be a few charged ones kicking about.
No matter where you go, there you are.
