Hi Guys, just a quick brain pick.
Has anyone cut open the back boxes of an RS4 B7 and emptied the insides?
If so, what is the exhaust note like after?
I'm after a better quality sound as I find the standard exhausts on both my old RS6 and this RS4 too refined for the type of car it is.
Obviously I can not afford a new system so was looking for a cheaper solution.
Cheers

Cheapest/most popular ways to get better noise out of the B7 system are:
1. Disconnect exhaust valves (fixing them permanently open), plugging the vacuum lines with golf tees or wood screws
2. Get an exhaust Shop to chop out the centre resonator.
Lots more info in the B7 section if you have a search

Cheers mate, I do t find any major difference when in sports mode, yes it sounds a little louder but not that great a difference.
Maybe the centre boxes emptied of everything may help.
I still want it to sound nice but just dont appreciate the standard RS noise, too refined for my liking for the type of car it is
