Not sure if anyone has answered your welding Q Clive however if you can find someone who is good at ally welding this will be a relatively straightforward fix just have to make sure it does not move while welding it up.

so the nasty little pole did get another pop at the undercarriage
that sounds pretty nasty. i once had a Rumanian look at me in a funny way, perhaps they were related

So here it is guys...took the opportunity to whip it off when it was on the ramp at MRC last.

As you can see, it's a pretty clean break, but.....

So we concluded that welding wasn't an option :shock:

This last picture also proves that there has been some sunshine this summer, even in Yorkshire... :?

You might find you've twisted the mountings also... Might mean a complete new DTS :(

the middle bar look like its replaceable, maybe you could just but a middle bar from AWE?

Yes, the middle bar comes attached to each of the side mounts by 3 bolts, so easily replaced, but I'm being cautious and replacing the whole lot.
