Re: BIG brakes
Jeff, I need something that works properly on road/track. Does not warp, does not fade. (I'm talking up to 20-30mins per session on track)
It should be able to fit standard 17" wheels.
The upkeep cost shouldn't be prohibitive (£100-150 per disc, under £100 per pair of pads)
Pads changed every 10k miles, discs every 20k (based on 4 trackdays every 20k)
Lastly, you do not need to do a bank job to purchase/have them installed to your car.
Can you help?

I've done a number of track days with my brakes and they have never faded....I've melted the air valve dust cap but no brake fadeJeff, I need something that works properly on road/track. Does not warp, does not fade. (I'm talking up to 20-30mins per session on track)

Re: BIG brakes
I'll need 3-4 people to get HiSpec interested in a discount ....They do kits for RS4 & S3 as well as S4
Re: BIG brakes
I may be interested in a set of 355mm 6 pots, assuming they fit inside 18" rims
Re: BIG brakes
i'm interested in a set of monster 4 race callipers with cross drilled 355 x 30 discs to fit my standard S4 wheels, but need to know the price before i sign on any dotted line.. is that ok? plus it would have to be earliest 10th feb unless you can hold them for me.. Re: BIG brakes
I'll try and talk to HiSpec today and see what their prepared to do for you guys.
Carps the 355 will fit under a 17" so you'll be able to have the next size up if you want.
SFourMan....don't worry about commitment yet

Before I get pulled completely into this....I already have uprated brakes from HiSpec and therefore I'm not doing this for my benefit (nor will I get anything out of it). I'll try a get a price for an S4 set-up and the quantity required for a discount. If anyone else wants to do a 'group buy' for an upgraded S3 set-up and place it on Tyresmoke that would be great...but I don't have the time to organise it.
Sorry

monster 4 race callipers with cross drilled 355 x 30 discs
Actually you don't....what you want is the 6-Pot Monster Road Caliper and grooved 355 x 32 discs with Ferodo 4003 fast road pad. The Race calipers don't have dust shields and you'd need to clean the calipers every 500-1000 miles...
X-Drilled looks nice on Porsches but grooves work on heavy cars.....

Re: BIG brakes
Jeff, I don't mind running the GB itself, for as many users that want it. More the merrier
As you know Geoff though can you make the first contact please? Many thanks

Steady on Jeff, Porsche discs are not cross drilled, they have cast in holes. There is a BIG difference.
Your comment on grooves vs holes is subjective too
Re: BIG brakes
What's the story with the 6 pot Porsche units on ECS's website? They're up for less money than the 4's at $1495
Sorry Ben, missed this question.
The discs used in the ECS Stage 4 kit are their own, not a Porsche Cayenne OEM part. So I would steer clear of that kit.
