i'll get some b7 rs4 next week - no cats and miltek DPs cars - i'll do full stock exhaust as well.

Same spec I think, not sure if they're resonated or not - Doug ?

& same results here. What rpm's was it Adam, can you remember ?

Me neither. It makes a fair row upto 3k rpm though, then is fairly quiet until you nail it & I like

At Goodwood and Bedford I'm sure they test at 75% of redline rpm - pretty sure it's the same at Combe too. So for B5 RS4 the noise test should be at 5250.

Whats the limit these days? and is it the same in the uk as the ring in germany?

Also, when you say no cat doug, tdo you mean the precats are gutted or literally no cats at all?

castle combe was defo 4500 for me - maybe htey looked at my rev limiter and decided 4500?

Doug they just knew that you definately fail the noise test at 5250 rpm and were trying to be kind to you!

All vehicles must comply to the strict noise limit of 100db(A), which is measured at Â½ metre from the exhaust outlet at 4500rpm.

Seems to be at odds with with our thoughts!

No I can't

I was preety sure it was 4k but it could well have been 4.5k

Must be getting old, though I can remember struggling to keep it at a steady RPM
