No, I don't think that statement is accurate, sorry.

I'm sure MRC like all sponsors / traders on here understand that there is an open marketplace.

I never meant to start any bad feelings - that was not my intention - and also would like to say that it is very difficult to communicate feelings over the internet.

I have the greatest respect for all people and tuners on this site, I know Doug and have shared a drink with him, I also know Kim, Kev of Revo, AMD etc etc... all I want is the best possible map for the best possible price.. and not necessaraly the cheapest.

It would be nice for any tuner to get a rolling road, as 'I' feel that this is the best way to fully tune a car, it is very difficult to check exhaust emmisions on the open road.

I hope that people who know me would know that I do take the mick sometimes, but no harm is ever intended.

Everyone will have there own preferances - and this was why I was asking the question.

I would hope that everyone on this site has a right to express there opinion even if others do not agree with it..

Regards,

R.

I never meant to start any bad feelings

I fully understand the situation, if not any of the reasons, which I do not need to know.

All I can ask is that if you do have any comments which could be of help to me please pm me as some of you have done already.

Many thanks for the help, and sorry if my thread has started or re-started any trouble or bad feelings.

No probs Chubby, not your fault at all mate

IMHO find a tuner who can do both, initial RR for base setup of map, then seat of pants on-road mapping with flowing air and no roller slippage. I found with Noggy that this gave the best results for me - but there again back in '03 the bespoke mapping offerings were few and far between so the situation could be very different now.

Cheers,

Andiroo.

It is better to setup the car on the road as it is more realistic. Only after you have finished that then get the car on the dyno then you can make some fine tuning tweaks just so you get the peak power or torque to what is safe.

THe big problem with the RR is there are very few that are realistic enough. i can show you logs of a 4th gear runs on the road then on the dyno and it shows how unrealistic a dyno can really be.

There is no problem logging mixture on the road - we log at 60 samples/second.

doug ive seen a few dyno's that run from the wheel hub..in other words bolted directly to the hub with the wheels removed..would that suit the
S4/RS4 for gaining the correct figures..i know you cant stop transmission loss but atleast the wheel/tire size would be an issue..

It would be worse than them trying to get the rollers to work after some 2wd drive cars have been on them
