Well, thats interesting as I currently have the RS4 calipers with Padit yellow pads and managed to crack up two sets of disks so far! So need to get a setup that does not do this!!!

Cheers for your responce
RS6+ setup is the way to go...

I was considering this also, possibly going for the RS6 disks as well as opposed the the RS4 B7 ones. Emailed Vag Parts but not got a price back from them yet ...

Are the RS6 calipers Brembo's did I read?

Yes and I agree to go for the RS6 disc when using big power. Try MRC for a price, if not for the whole kit they are where to go for the caliper bracket (required when using RS6 disc on a B5)

Also try DSGWAGEN on ebay. He can do what you need for reasonable prices. All genuine from a dealer so come with a reciept and full VAG terms

Stock RS4 disks currently, RS4 Calipers, Padit Yellow.

They said they knew of the issue and had previously had the same problem on one of their S4's. They recommended a swap to an RS6 setup, which wouldn't cost me a lot extra once I'd sold on the Porsche setup. Will give it some thought, back there in a month or so!
A swap to another setup is not the answer!

Do you have the pad dampers fitted ?

Why not try the blues or fast road pads ? Yellows are track biased and known to eat discs.

I hear what your saying, problem I have now is new disks are around 500 quid + couple of hundered for pads ... well, I may as well spend the extra and upgrade the brake setup ... disks just seem to expensive for this setup, for what they are, and due to my "spritited" driving style and tend to eat pads, re, why I have yellows ...

Yes, but you have a mismatch if the pads are eating the discs and its the expensive way around. A more road friendly pad would probably reduce this whilst still giving good performance.

Bakercd uses the same discs without any issues IIRC.

I agree thats its prob a mismatch of pads and disks, but I just can't bear to spend 700 quid on new pads and disks when I have promised myself for ages that I was gonna upgrade to some bigger calipers etc!!!

I've seen the standard RS4 disc used with RS6 calipers. That works well

Beyond my knowledge, sorry.

But if you search for previous posts or even post up a new question about which pads work well in the RS6 caliper you should get some good info. Quite a few people are using them.
