the A6/S6 did come with a 6 speed manual box. driven one at docklands audi couple of years ago.. was 4.2 v8 car.

506.9 BHP @ 6.020 RPM
445.0 WHP @ 5.981 RPM
481.5 IBFT @ 4.976 RPM

Never understood why the RS6 had no manual box option - 500Nm+ of torque has never been a problem for the manual sequential box of the Murcielago et al.

Lets hope Audi see sense and offer the manual box with the forthcoming 2007/8 V10 TT RS6 8)

RS6 engine

I have a complete RS6 engine and gearbox from my 2003 RS6 for sale with 75,000kms, FASH. New turbos fitted under Audi warranty 10,000kms ago, Cam belt 10,000kms. Was running with ABT 480HP conversion.
The parts that are missing are
Engine Sump
Timing covers
Wiring loom
ECU
Clocks.

Engine and gearbox still in my daily driver, recently serviced.
So anyone willing to try the experiment, I have the parts available.

I have a new engine coming from Germany, tuned with uprated turbos, hence sale.
