I used to have the APR physical chip (not SPP) and never had any problems with the car/chip (except I wanted more power [img]images/graemlins/grin.gif[/img])

I have the direct port tuning on an Octavia RS and have no cold start issues whatsoever in fact I am delighted with it! [img]images/graemlins/thumbs.gif[/img]

Riz, not sure if direct port!

When I had it fitted they gave me the old one back and had to solder a new one in, took about an hour or so to download software etc.

Which one is this?

If they opened up the ECU and soldiered the chip in then its a standard chip upgrade and not a direct port version.
