LOL!
Yes I use my old alloys for track days but the tyres I have on them are the worst tyres I've ever owned. They are P6000's and are utter sh1te!! The reason they are on my track wheels is because I didn't want to use them on the toad! They've got one possibly two track days left in them which means that if it's wet then I'll use my road wheels with F1 tyres.

Re: Road legal track tyres
Right its tyre renewal time. I have a question, if I got some of these road legal track tyres - would that be a very silly thing to do? Are they lethal in the wet?
I cant really stretch to a new set of wheels, so I was toying with the idea of getting the track day road legal tyres and seeing if my local tyre fitter would swap the tyres with my road tyres on my existing rims when I have a track day to attend, or even run the road legals for a while?
Anyone got any experience of these? Gareth/Thorney?

Re: Road legal track tyres
most semi cut slicks which are road legal, such as pirelli corsa and dunlop race are great on the track as long as the conditions are dry, it actually states on the pirellis that they are not be used in the wet over 30mph
so i personally would not use these as everyday tyres, a softer compound tyre like the yoko avs would be a more intermeadiate tyre.
cheers
