Good point Paul

AmD go for the boost and torque early on (ala MTM but not as much), whereas Sportec try to match the existing flat torque curve but higher up the nM scale.

One is faster off the mark, but runs out of steam @6000rpm, the other is slower off the mark, but keeps on til 7100rpm. There again the Sportec RS460 posts 0-60 times of 4.1 secs so there aint much in it really

I reckon with all this choice, go for the company with the nicest logo

Thankfully I'm not the sort of person to buy anything based on the badge, I'd have bought an Elise if I was like that

LOL, I didn't mean that. There is a difference between badge and brand, I mean the Sportec brand is good but their badge (ie logo) is frankly piss poor, I much prefer MTM's logo - looks smart on the back.

What I meant was I dont think anyone is advocating buy a chip based upon its logo

Sheesh, internet eh.....second biggest barrier to communication (first is marriage )

check out www.revotechnik.com, read up on the SPS3 switch. Boost time control, high and low. Plus anti-theft! you'll find your nearest dealer there and possibly a free 5 hour trial.

...unless you promise to only use half throttle...
