movit brakes

Post by hamski » Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:25 pm

I've got Movit brakes on my S3. When the pads were last replaced, the guys at the garage binned the sensor as it was broken. Spoke to QST who don't supply a new sensor, so I have to buy a set of Audi pads and Porsche pads, and cut and shut the two (Porsche connector on brake end, Audi connector on suspension arm.

Surely, there must be an easier way!

Or you could blank out the brake pad alert on the DIS using VAG-COM.

That sounds a better idea. Is there somewhere I can go to get this done?

I have the Mov´it front and rear brakes and I don´t have the sensor. You don´t need it, just check the pads from time to time.

Any audi dealer can do it (in theory), but it's probably easier if you get someone in your area with VAG-COM to do it. Here's a useful link ... http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=1260084

That's good...thanks. I will try Taunton Audi first, but don't hold out much hope that they'll sort it.
