Kim Collins (MTM)

Post by Dave » Wed Jan 15, 2003 12:48 pm

Kim Collins (quattrosports) phoned me last night... a really nice chap.. took me through the options for my RS6 . looks like I'll be having chip, exhaust and possibly dump valves in February.

Should be good for about 512bhp and the torque goes up 25%

great!

Dave,

Did you see Audi driver this month, a guy in there has had this sort of work done to his RS6.

Pretty sure it was MTM who did the work too.

It makes an interesting read.

Want engine mods before I start playing with everything else..
PS.. what do you reckon to the dump valves??.. worth having?
Cheers

Debateable really

The stock ones on TT, S3, S4 and RS4 are not too good

I assume this is the same for your RS6

So upgrading them means it should hold boost more efficiently, not longer, just more efficiently without leaks

THis helps hold the revs between gear changes and ultimately means the turbos dont over spin trying to create boost that is being leaked to atmosphere

So i guess i have convinced myself

GO for it

Yes.. that's right.. they are imported by Milltek.. do you know the difference?? and are they any good??

I quite like the look of them.. look to be of good quality.. or am I better going for a standard dump valve??

Cheers

Hyperboost ones as far as i know are a direct copy of the forge ones

Both are good and definitely better than standard

If you speak to forge, they say that theres are better, and made of mopre robust materials, i use them and can definately vouch for them.
