Millers Oils

Post by PhilT » Thu Mar 20, 2003 12:14 pm

So I was reading about the Millers XFS Oil - Millers say:
Image
Millers XFS is a fully synthetic engine oil which offers the ultimate in engine protection and significantly reduces friction to release more power or increased mpg.

Particularly recommended for high performance and turbo models, Millers XFS provides high film strength for ultimate protection, outstanding cold flow properties for reduced wear at start up and excellent resistance to the effects of high temperatures. As with all Miller engine oils, special high performance detergent and dispersancy additives ensure clean engines across full oil drain intervals.

Millers XFS is used by many track and rally champions who require maximum protection and release of power under the most arduous of performance conditions. Now the same oil is available for road users and is recommended for all high performance cars or owners wanting to use the very best and latest of synthetic engine oils.

Performance Profile
ACEA A3-98
ACEA B3-98

VAG 502.00/505.00 (Approved)
BMW (Long Life) Approved
Mercedes-Benz 229.1
Porsche (Approved)

So my questions are:

What does VAG 502.00/505.00 (Approved) equate to?
What cars can it be used in?

I believe these were quoted in Audi Driver last year. I'll see if I have a copy to scan.

RS4/S3/TT need to use an oil approved to VAG 503.01 IIRC.
