Fuel gauge accuracy

Hi

I had a new fuel pump fitted last week, and now the fuel gauge is out, as it ran out last night when it said I had 35 miles left

Any ideas what has happened? Would replacing the pump have anything to do with the thing that measures how much juice is left?

when my fuel gauge started getting a bit erratic i had a new sensor fitted to the tank and it need to be calibrated using vag com/proper vag computer to give a correct readings

Have a look for the fuel calibration posting I did a few years back. I can't remember if it will help or not but it might be a start...
