Fuel gauge accuracy

Post by david7m » Thu Aug 13, 2009 9:54 am

Hi

I had a new fuel pump fitted last week, and now the fuel gauge is out, as it ran out last night when it said I had 35 miles left :(

Any ideas what has happened? Would replacing the pump have anything to do with the thing that measures how much juice is left?

Cheers,

8 reads, no replies, surely someone must know ;) Is it possible to plug in VAGCOM and knock 35 miles of remaining mileage range?

Have a look for the fuel calibration posting I did a few years back. I can't remember if it will help or not but it might be a start...
