rubbing brake pads

Post by bops4 » Sun Jun 14, 2009 4:12 pm

I have just replaced the front rotors 360 x 32mm and pads DS2500 today on my S4 B5, the only concern is the drivers side was a bit tight on the disc and slightly rubbing when driving. I`m taking it very gentle hoping they loosen off, is this going to overheat new pads and glaze them or should i try something else?

I had some issues after my pad replacement the other week. Resolved it by taking the disks off, liberal dose of brake cleaner to the hubs and the inside of the bells and refitting.
Got the impression it was some grit or similar had gotten behind them causing it to rub as it went round

Gave them another inspection at weekend only to nothing wrong. Went for a `sporty` drive and still had vibration only at much higher speeds, left for couple of days and at least at normal speed theres no vibration and smooth and silent. Fingers crossed
