I don't think so... the larger area of the APR Bipipe will slow the velocity and probably help the problem. I wish there was a way to log the N249 valve input signal... I have long suspected it is a less than exact control loop. On one of the SEAT codes there is a mistake from the factory that causes the valve to open, it took us weeks to find it. It was only under certain conditions so logging was useless, we had to comb the entire stack to find it. The next time I see you I will let you borrow some reds, we will see if the rest of the problem goes away.

Hey Mitch, you've got time to post on here but not to return my calls?

I have long suspected it is a less than exact control loop.

I was certainly surprised to see that most of the control is pneumatic. I'd have expected that from an old mechanically controlled engine, but with a sophisticated ECU why not use electrically-actuated DVs?

Yes, I see what you mean about the air-velocity. That betrays the fact that my background is electronics rather than mechanics!

Agreed. This is a hint to all of the hardware guys out there. Build an electric DV and we will write the code to actuate it! Does anyone know the output voltage to the N249?

Funny Rob, see you Saturday!

I guess you must have finished the brakes then, if you're back on here?

OK. Let's go back to the Revo software.

Does Revo work with OEM chip only? What about cars who are chipped and would like some fine tuning of the mapping?? Will Revo work??

From Revo FAQ's :

======================
What if my car is already "chipped"
Different suppliers use different methods of "chipping".
If it was a standard remap there will not be a problem, the software will simply overwrite the other code.
If the software is on an encryption module, the module will need to be replaced and a factory EPROM fitted.
