Forge DV springs

Post by Dippy » Mon Aug 11, 2003 11:39 pm

Having just put a pair of blue springs in my DVs, I'm interested to know what everyone else is using. I think the green is standard and the red for very high boost. Is anyone using the yellow springs?

I remember when Forge uprated my DV's with the latest version I asked for the red springs but they were reluctant to send me anything other than the blues.

Not sure of the benefits of the red except that they are unlikely to open under very high boost.

Are the yellow ones even stronger springs?

No, the AFAIK the yellow ones are somewhere between the green and blue.

The advantage of the red springs is exactly as you describe.

I'm not really sure how you'd find the right setting for the adjustable Hyperboost valves. Plus there would be a risk that the pair would not be balanced - not good for a biturbo!
