Have to agree. Insurance companies are only normally interested in how much lower the car is from standard. If you fit coilovers with the height set to maximum then your only talking about a 30mm drop.

Also it will be interesting to see how much the car drops. My springs were -25mm front and rear and it went down more than that! shame I didn't measure ride height before the springs went on.

Would be interesting to hear how yours goes, measure before and after.

Thanks Mark, I will certainly take some measurements before and after the work is done and post some pics too. Should look good with the wheels as you say. Si / Leon, hopefully meet with you at the SW meet in Feb and can tell me what you think then.

I'm not turning 25 until February and won't be re-insuring until June. Also, I quite fancy doing something a bit different and seeing what happens, even the 30mm drop on H&Rs would be too much for my liking.

The Koni/Bilstein setup has set me back £650 (delivered) so fairly similar to the H&Rs? Have spoken at length to Doug and other members about what setup to go for and the consensus has been to give it a go. Watch this space....
