So mihnea, just a ball park figure, how much to fit a B5 RS4 engine to a B6/7 S4?

Tough one, I'd rather not answer just yet, need to speak more with Doug about how feasible it is. But it must be feasible, provided whomever wants this done has time and enough cash!

May be easier to fit turbo's to the V8. If there is space?

No space on the V8 methinks, looked at it already, plus turbos on the V8 would require loads of internal work to get the bottom end to cope with boost, plus compression ratio needs to be decreased quite a lot as well. Now maybe some RS4 K04s and really low boost (like 0.3 Bar tops) could work on a stock engine, but I'm not sure it's worth the hassle, and then I'm almost 100% sure there isn't room for turbos at the back of the engines!

just another thought...

They have built a b7 rs4 twin turbo,im currently working in germany and there is a guy here who is a development driver for audi and vw during the summer and he has tested it,his english was not great but gathered it would never be produced as the price of it would be amongst far better machinery he kept ranting on about murcialago etc etc
