RS6 LUMP!!

Post by abc5k » Fri Sep 08, 2006 10:32 pm

WOULD AN RS6 LUMP GO STIGHT INTO S6V8 WITHOUT MODS?

IF YOU NEED MODS WHAT WOULD THEY BE AND WOULD IT BE EXPENSIVE ?

IS THE GEARBOX SAME?

you will need the gearbox....and I suspect by the time youve bought the engine/box/ancilliaries (if its legit) and got it fitted in the car...it will have been cheaper just to chop the S6 in for an RS6...especially if you take into account resale value also .......
cheers

Surely that would only help if said young man was a mechanic...

I'm very tempted to stick an RS6 lump in a 6 speed S6 4.2 in a few months time, along with tubular exhaust manifolds, stage 2 turbos (at least 600 HP capable), uprated fuel pumps (dual) and injectors and maybe an FMIC... sounds very tempting, just need to find the car, the engine for decent money and time (that's the most problematic)...
