Does anyone know if there is a major difference in the S4 throttle valve adapter and the RS4 item.
I know the part numbers 078 133 062(S4) and 077 133 062(RS4).

Yep, RS4 item is bigger. 3" vs 2.875".
To use RS4 TB you need RS4 metal TBB, metal J pipes and either chop your IM or use RS4 IM which then means you need RS4 fuel rail and injectors. You then need to port match RS4 IM to the S4 heads or use different heads.

Iv'e got everything else RS4 wise(to fit), just wondered if S4 TB would fit/work on RS4 IM before I bought one.

You could cut the RS4 IM and weld new machined plate in its place but after spending all that money on the other bits it wouldn't make sense.
