Tested removal and you can't see any sign of the holes made by the screws as the carpet covers them 8)

LOL - you may want a bigger extinguisher than that ! .....5L lifeline FX etc ....that will just about put out a couple of smoking cables ...no good if you get a real oil or fuel fire ! :(
cheers

yes - they fit in the footwell of Elises :)

Ive seen a couple of cars go up in flames on trackdays and the small extinguisher I have in my Elise (like yourse) is only really good for helping others get out of their vehicle (at a push) ...only a plumbed in 5L + jobbie will have a chance of putting out a real engine bay fire etc :(

when you see how fast they go up once a fire has started you wont be worrying about extinguishers ...just getting out and running away ! ....if you are really worried, get yourself some Nomex underwear, race suit, boots, gloves and make sure you have a proper fireproof car helmet i.e not a motorbike one for road use
cheers

Looked on Demon Tweeks, crickey 2.5L is circa £60, but what price your car I guess. Actually couldn't find a 5Ltr just 3.5Ltr :?

http://www.lifeline-fire.co.uk/fireexti ... ystems.htm 2 x 2.5L on a car the size of a 6

or maybe just one, with the jets in the engine bay etc

to be honest ...for one day out at the Ring its probably overkill....its not as if you are competing in a series of racing .....Id be more inclined just to get a race suit/helmet/gloves and wear that ....its a car after all - make sure its insured ...then take care of yourself .......
cheers

you're adding weight to the car. With that install, you'll have to drive around naked to conserve weight
