ok guys...i coming to you guys from deep in the heart of texas.....i have had this issue with my car for awhile now. it all started a year and half ago when my mechanic was getting the best of me and has since left me to be on my own.

for you RS4 owners...what are you doing as far as tuning? i haev an extensive mod list, but nothign to show for it without the proper tuning. i need a new direction to follow so i can get this beast up and running.

mod list is as follows:

2001.5 S4 Silver 6sp
Intrax Coilovers
ToyGuy Short Shifter
710N's Diverter Valves
Ecodes
GIAC X sauce
AWE Drivetrain Stabilizer+Boost Gauge
APR Snub mount
UUC VM1
RS4 Grill/18" Rims/

sorry...first timer here. where should i have posted it? i realize that i have and s4, but my engine is practically and rs4 engine.

Sounds like you need a custom map, I wouldn't bother with anything else. Speak to some of the US tuning houses, maybe GIAC or Revo, and maybe try to swing something with a feature of your car?

Sounds like your tuner has done lots of traditional ( does that mean old fashoined??) engine tuning but these cars are controlled electronically so to get the best out of the mechanical mods you'll need to get a remap - probably a custom one rather than a stock/off the shelf one ??

Judging by the work that's been done, a custom remap will be the cheapest part of your upgrade programme.
